Food options for kids while traveling in India

Many parents who are traveling to India with their kids are concerned especially about the food. The common question that arises in their mind is whether or not the food will suit the kids. This is mainly because the Indian food is cooked differently and famous for being hot and spicy. However the spices used in India are of great medicinal values as well. Even if you choose not to go with too much oily or spicy food, there is lot of other options available that you can consider for your children.
These include Indian breads, eggs, plain rice, steamed rice, simple curd, toast, bread jam, and many more.

There are restaurants like Indian Coffee house that serve simple food along with other varieties of pizzas and burgers one can safely rely on. Indian tea is superb to try for and is good for health. Let your child try something new and different. You just ensure that the place you opt for eating looks hygienic and perfect to eat. You may end up coming across some local food corners that are not too hygienic to eat at and you should therefore either ask the locals about the good restaurants or hotels or observe yourself the surroundings before you decide to eat.

Another good option while travelling is to carry some non perishable snacks like natural energy bars, pieces of fruits such as apple and pears or I would say it is a good idea to have fruits that one can peel. Apart from it, one can also carry some dry fruits – which are an ideal choice as well. Another good option is to have more intakes of salad or grilled sandwiches rather than going for heavy meals.

Just ensure not to eat something that is fried or oily. You may want to let your child taste but refrain from eating full dish, this is because the most common stomach problems reported by children from outside India occurs only after eating oily food.

Still not confident then you may want to go with a safe bet. For those who staying in a hotel in India, the safe bet is to opt for breakfast, lunch and dinner within the hotel. In every part or street of India, you can find a McDonald, KFC, Subway and many more fast food restaurants of international brands. Those, with kids traveling to India, feel safe to buy food items from such restaurants for themselves as well as for their kids.
