Singapore Zoo rates as one of the worlds top zoos on earth.  By ingenious use of moats there are no bars to be seen and so the impression is that one can all but touch the animals. Located right in the city, it is 28 hectares comprising some 3,500 animals.

The major attractions are a successful package enveloping the visitor as though they were visiting each different country and locale:

  • the Australian Outback,  showcasing the major ranges of Kangaroos – grays, reds etc, dragons and reptiles including the deadly inland taipan;
  • Primate Kingdom is a half dozen islands featuring among others, capuchins, lion tailed macaques, patas monkeys, black spider monkeys and the surrounding moats contain the huge south American fish, the arapaima;
  • Wild Africa is every bit that- the colossal creatures include the Elephants, Giraffes, white rhino, lions, zebra;
  • Reptile Garden is admittedly a formidable place but houses the magnificent komodo dragon, iguanas, and tortoises,
  • Rainforest kidzworld is a real treat for youngsters – it tips huge unsuspected buckets of water on the players  and kids love running under spouts of water. Swim-wear is therefore the appropriate attire for families venturing in at this venue. A vendor can provide all one needs on premises. What fun!
