Finding the right Paediatricians for your triplets

It’s always a good idea to have somebody on hand who is a reliable paediatrician so that you will always have a person to go to when your children need medical assistance. This is of course very important with triplets as you will need three times the care with your added bundles of joy.

When you are seeking out the services of a paediatricians you should always be asking plenty of questions that relate to your children and the exact services you require. As well as the usual questions you would ask on any visit with your children, you should always ask these following questions in the case of triplets to your paediatrician:

Is it possible for you to see all of my babies at once in the same visit to save a bit of time? (This is a good idea as not only will it save you time but it could also potentially save you some money. And it also helps so that your children don’t feel left out and that some may feel their siblings are getting extra attention if they are in there for longer periods of time.
Is it possible to get a discount on seeing three babies at once? (As we mentioned, some paediatricians may offer a discount, something like a ‘buy two and get the third visit free’ sort of deal. It never hurts to ask!)
Will it be possible for me to ring you up in the event of something simple happening? I like to have this on hand to save me a trip to you that could potentially waste both of our time (a great option if you can get it, it can not only save you time but also money as well. You wouldn’t want to travel all the way to the doctor for something nice and simple would you?)
Is your office going to be large enough for my three kids as well as the size of the stroller that I will have to bring with me? (You would actually be surprised as to how many paediatrician offices aren’t suitable sizes to hold a triplet pram. Remember triplet prams are very big, so this is definitely something you should enquire about before you make your first appointment!)

A few simple questions like these could easily save you a lot of hassle and time and even has the potential to also save you some money in the long run.

Finding a good paediatrician is extremely important for both you and your babies, as you will no doubt form a relationship that has the potential to last for several years.

And by getting your choice right straight away, the burden of having to find another paediatrician so soon after getting one you thought was right will never have to happen to you!
